BROTHERS IN ARMS
- The only live band on Cyprus dedicated to the music of
Mark Knopfler, Brothers in Arms have captured the fiery
guitar sound and atmospheric keyboard nuances of Dire
Straits. Their show features selections from the eponymous
first album through to the platinum selling "Greatest Hits"
replicating authentic vocal harmonies and moody lighting.
Mark Widdler's
clean Stratocaster and hard rocking Les Paul tones contrast
with nylon-strung subtlety on slower songs - all with Dire
Straits trademark expressive vocals.
Bruce Horny's
classical training is a huge advantage in coping with the
musical and tonal range required to handle 3 keyboards and
backing vocals. Hard to believe that despite sounding like
an orchestra he only has ONE pair of hands.
Hugh J Botham.
As an accomplished 6-string gunslinger, the adventurous Dire
Straits bass lines hold no terrors for Hugh. Whether wailing
like Sting or duetting with Bruce, his vocal harmonies
enormously enrich the band's sound.
Wick Pithers.
Brothers In Arms music calls for a vast range of drum and
percussion sounds, provided with aplomb and rare skill by
this fine musician and son of Cymru.
Whether you're under
Private Investigation, on the run from a Sultan with a
Switchblade Knife, canoodling in a Tunnel of Love, Calling
Elvis while Twisting By The Pool, revising Romeo and Juliet,
or simply Relaxing with a Lady Writer who earns Money For
Nothing - this show has something for you.

authentic 1950s style. The band rocks and rolls through This
Old House by Rosemary Clooney, Sugarbush by Doris Day and

Shoes & Pink Shoelaces by Dodie Stevens and Jim Dandy by
